Corporate Cooking and Team Building Classes
Corporate Cooking School is the creative solution to the humdrum functions held in restaurants, tacky bowling alleys, or worse, the office. Give your staff, colleagues and clients a unique and memorable experience.
Hosted in either a private venue or at the Intimate cooking school, a culinary event is created to fit your personal requirements. Lunch & Dinner Classes available.
Be involved as much or as little as you like – sit back and enjoy, or get your hands dirty in a fully interactive experience.
Fun and relaxed with laughs and wine flowing, competitive and educational with team building activities, or formal ‘Chef’s table’ dining – the choice is yours.
“I just wanted to thank you and your wonderful team for making our team activity on Friday so enjoyable – we all loved it and I’m sure each of us learnt something new about cooking. We will definitely recommend you to others!”
“Everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves last night, I have received such wonderful feedback. Once again thank you! They are all very eager to try the recipes at home this weekend.”
Team Building Session Format
Session format is dependent on class size.
Class duration is approximately 2.5 – 3 hrs.
In the case of a proposed group size of ten (10), we would ask you to work as two (2) teams. We recommend that you formulate these teams prior to the session. The aim is to develop new or stronger relationships by encouraging people to work collaboratively in unfamiliar teams.
Each group will be asked to cook two - three courses from recipes as well as create their own dish using a mystery box of ingredients. The groups will be critiqued at the conclusion of the session.
Upon booking your class, please outline you team building goals. Classes may be tailored to client requirements e.g. competitive environment with a winning team for each course and an overall winner as judged by our chefs. Or just a fun and relaxed time bringing the team back together whilst cooking and sharing a meal together.
Teams will be assessed on the final presentation of their dishes, which is almost as important to our judges as the taste.
Communication and Teamwork
Strong teamwork and communication are essential to successfully completing the set tasks; “Yes, Chef!”
Strategy and Time Management
Preparing the dishes within the time frame will be a challenge in itself.
Attention to Detail
The success of certain recipes can be totally dependant on following the recipe to the gram.
Cooking is an art form, and whilst almost anyone can ‘paint by numbers’, a teams’ true creative colours will be revealed when challenged with the mystery box ingredients.
Of course, there is also a strong focus on fun and generally increasing your abilities in the kitchen – all whilst tasting some luscious food and wine along the way.
